👋🏼 Hello!
I’m Jessica, but you can call me Jess.

I write from real life. The messy parts nobody warns you about but everyone survives. When I’m not writing, I’m with my family or buried in edits for my first book, The Gabby Effect.
(More on that below.)
Now, the best part of the story. These are my people. The ones who keep me grounded, humble, laughing, and honest. Humans and four-legged chaos included.Everything I write begins right here. 👇🏼

Stories That Shaped Us

Our adoption journey wasn't easy.It began with waiting, paperwork, prayer, fear, hope… and a stubborn faith that we’d become a family.Gabby changed everything—not neatly, but deeply. She stretched us, taught patience, and rewrote what love really means. This story shaped us. And it shapes everything I write.

The Book: The Gabby Effect

This book wasn’t planned.
It was lived.
The Gabby Effect was written about our adoption journey, the creation of our family, and all the unexpected lessons along the way. It’s a story about building a home, holding onto hope, and discovering that healing often comes when you realize you’re not alone.I wrote it because some stories don’t let you stay silent. It’s currently in editing and will be available in Spring/Summer 2026—worth the wait, I promise!

Worth the Wait

This is what the waiting was for.Not the milestones. Not the announcements. Not the paperwork.This. A simple dinner. A shared table. A life we didn’t rush into, but fought for, one patient step at a time.Totally worth it.

More Stories

These are the pieces that didn’t make it into The Gabby Effect or that live in other corners of my life.Essays, short stories, reflections… all shaped by the messy, beautiful chaos of being human.Dive in. Laugh. Cry. Roll your eyes.📖

Let's Connect

If something here resonated, if you’re curious about the book, or if you just want to say hello, I’d absolutely love to hear from you!No pressure. No perfection required. Just real words from real people.

Thanks for stopping by!

Truly. I hope you leave feeling a little less alone than when you arrived.“Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is keep showing up.”
